Alan and Alex, walking down the street, pass by two locals in animated conversation.
Alan says: “I love the sound of pure Spanish”
To which Alex replies: “Uhm…. that was Catalan dear…”
Alan – “Oh… I guess I love the sound of pure Catalan then”

Hee hee! I actually love the sound of Catalan too. The Spanglish here is crazy, half-English, half-Mexican spanish (which is quite different from Castilian). It’s going to take me awhile to get my ear around it!
Hi there!
Barça-Bayern, what an interesting encounter. I’m happy to see that you are a fan of Flamengo – so I am!

Hey Sacha!
Welcome to the blog! Barça has sure come a long way in the past few years. I really love the team.
Flamengo is my Brazilian team but unfortunately, Brazilian football is in crisis these days. The clubs are in serious financial trouble, they can’t compete with European teams for players, the federation is a joke, etc… End result: a new player appears, shines for one season, and is gone to Europe. So all we end up with are old players or those who couldn’t really make it outside. Very sad….
