Born and raised in Brazil, a Canadian stole my heart and took me to Canada in 1999. After seven years between Montreal and Toronto, we then moved to Barcelona, Spain, where I did research for my PhD thesis. This blog began as a chronicle of our adventures while living in Barcelona and exploring the old world and has acquired a life of its own after we moved back to Canada.

  1. Hah! Very funny. I’ve been watching the TV commercials for Vista, and thinking that it looked like they ripped off Dashboard, but I didn’t realize there were that many similarities.

  2. Before I did the big switch about 3 years ago, I had always used PCs. I was quite handy with them too; knew how to fix it anytime anything went wrong, troubleshoot, etc. But I never particularly liked Microsoft & its products. I used windows & office like everybody else but never felt they were good products. Windows XP was definitely an improvement but it had its problems with security, etc.
But after I bought myself a little 12″ Powerbook, I never looked back. I was totally converted. I love OS X and I love mac software. At first I kept using the MS software I was accostumed to but slowly I replaced Outlook with Mac Mail, Word with Mellel, Access with Filemaker, and I´ve never been happier ;)

But I won´t get into PC bashing. I mean, it still doesn´t make sense to buy a Mac if you are a programmer or gamer. But I think Macs are better for the average, computer illiterate person and PCs may be better for people comfortable with stripping down their machine every couple months and re-installing boards and operating systems…

  3. Bem, tenho que fazer muito esforço pra entender o vídeo, entao fica pra próxima..rsssss

Um feliz Natal pra vc e sua família…que Deus dê força pra eles e muita saúde.
