Just got back from watching Babel. Like Crash, it’s the kind of movie that gets your head spinning. The lives of a Mexican nanny and the two American children under her care in California & Mexico, an American couple in Morroco, and a Japanese business man and his teenage daughter in Tokyo, are all intertwined when two Morrocan kids decide to play with a rifle their father bought to keep the coyotes away from his sheep.
I won’t say much because it would spoil it for some. All I can say is that it is very powerful and it makes you question the senselessness of it all… How much that goes wrong in our life is due to miscommunication, from our inability to hear those around us?
