Spanish Inquisition

I gave my first full lecture for a university class yesterday. The lecture was for a survey course, which meant I had to cover a lot of ground and couldn’t really get into too much detail. The topic? The Inquisition and the Jews in the Early Modern period. The lecture went well, I invited some colleagues to come and write a report about it for me but what I really wanted to show was this:

Born and raised in Brazil, a Canadian stole my heart and took me to Canada in 1999. After seven years between Montreal and Toronto, we then moved to Barcelona, Spain, where I did research for my PhD thesis.   1. Ótimo. Essa coisa de “fear and surprise” me lembrou a guerra do golfo. O nome da operação era algo parecido, não? Tipo “shock and awe”? Não me lembro bem.
    Que bom que você está dando aulas. Ando cada vez mais burraldina. Impressionante o quanto a gente se aliena ao resolver ser empresária.
